Can Game Data be Saved on a Flash drive?

My PC is junk and I don’t trust it with offline games. Can I simply put it on a flash drive? If so what exactly do i copy? Baldur’s Gate for example…do I just copy the character file? And how much space would this likely take? ty

You can transfer save games onto a flash drive, but the files you take depend on the game. I don’t know what save game files look like for Baldur’s Gate, but generally save game files are located in the “Data” folder of game directories.

The save game files can range in size depending on the game – from 100 kb to maybe 6 MB? That’s just a guess from me.

Sometimes, games may save into a folder in your “My Documents” folder so you might want to check there as well.

e.g. Bioshock stores its save game files in my “My Documents” in a folder called “Bioshock”

When restoring the game files, remember where you originally took them from and paste them back in the same location.
